S2 E2: Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover – Surviving Trauma

September 20, 2019

This episode contains sensitive material. Please use discretion when sharing with younger listeners.

Shar and Heidi talk about childhood trauma and how it can lead to a myriad of addictions, including food addiction. They are not saying that all overweight people have experienced childhood abuse, but there is a connection between weight and abuse for some individuals. They share their own personal stories and how those experiences shaped their bodies and their minds. They stress the importance of talking about the trauma in whatever way you are able so that you do not continue to carry the burden alone. No more shame. YOU. DO. YOU.
